SCP has considerable experience in advising developers with respect to the highways and transportation issues of employment-related uses. We advise on all access design and internal layout issues and the master-planning of industrial estates in terms of junction spacing and highway link design.

We prepare formal Transport Statements and Assessments in support of planning applications and assist architects and structural engineers in the design and layout of associated car parking, HGV manoeuvring areas, and vertical clearances between vehicles and the proposed structure.

We have considerable experience of all sizes and types of employment development, from stand-alone B1 office development to major strategic regional employment sites.

Our Travel Plan expertise is used to support reduced parking standards where necessary for proposed developments or to monitor the take-up of sustainable modes of travel once the site is operational. We also offer our design services to facilities managers to minimise the risk of reportable injuries to personnel working within areas of significant vehicle activity.

    SCP advised BAe Systems throughout the successful promotion of 1.5 million sq ft of B2/B8 employment uses on the former Royal Ordnance Factory site, Chorley.

  • The ‘More London’ Development, London Bridge

    SCP advises PriceWaterhouse Coopers with respect to the internal layout and operational issues associated with their new office development for 6,000 staff in central London.
