Approved Mixed-use Baltic Triangle Scheme, Liverpool

SCP were pleased to hear that the Baltic Triangle Mixed-Use Scheme was recently approved at committee. The existing buildings on site will be demolished and replaced with a multi-storey car park for 216 cars as well as commercial units on the ground floor with office/creative space on each of the floors.

SCP was instructed to provide specialist transport planning and engineering advice to support the proposed development.

The proposals include a new footway along the southern side of New Bird Street to improve pedestrian safety. The development also includes 108 cycle parking spaces, forming a cycle storage hub for the area.

The scheme will provide much-needed off-street car parking in a busy mixed-use area of Liverpool where there is a clear demand for long-stay car parking from local businesses and residents.
