Award-Winning Team Member – Rob O’Brien’s involvement in ELOR

SCP are very proud of our associate director Rob O’Brien who played a big part in the successful delivery of the £140 Million East Leeds Orbital Route (ELOR) infrastructure project. The scheme has recently been presented with the prestigious centenary award by the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) Yorkshire & Humber.

Rob’s role included pre-construction management for the client team and continuing as NEC Project Manager during delivery. His role along with the wider team was pivotal to a scheme, which will deliver much-needed traffic relief to the north of the city and will also allow for the development of much-needed new homes in the area.

The route has already received awards from the British Horse Society for its contribution to equestrian routes and the addition of high-quality pedestrian cycle facilities makes it a key national example of developing a scheme which caters for all modes of transport and not just the car.

Rob’s role in SCP in assisting and supporting Local Authorities and Major schemes of this scale brings together the key focus and values of SCP, which are Great Service, Highest Standards, Professional Team and Creative Solutions, which he brings lots of.

The SCP Infrastructure Design team have a broad offering of services including highway design, drainage design, flood risk assessment development, NEC supervisor and project management support, utility management and coordination.
