Introducing SCP’s Latest Addition: Matthew Taylor, Principal Engineer

SCP are pleased to introduce our newest member, Matthew Taylor, a seasoned Principal Engineer with an impressive track record spanning eight years in the industry. Matthew is based out of the Leeds office offering infrastructure design services across the region. Matthew’s arrival marks a significant milestone for SCP’s growing Leeds office as he brings with him a wealth of experience and a commitment to pushing the boundaries of innovation and efficiency.

Matthew’s wealth of experience working with a major consultancy has honed his skills by collaborating with diverse clients, ranging from Local Authorities and National Highways to Network Rail. This broad spectrum of exposure has allowed him a comprehensive understanding of the complex dynamics involved in various projects, priming him to excel in the multidisciplinary landscape that SCP operates within.

With a professional qualification as an incorporated Engineer (IEng), Matthew has previously coordinated teams to produce designs for schemes ranging from feasibility to detailed design, using design software, and aiding in the development of his colleagues’ knowledge. Matthew Taylor will continue supporting the wider design team at SCP and become a mentor for the junior staff as part of SCP’s strategic upskilling programme.

Matthew Taylor, who joined SCP in June has said “I’m excited about my future at SCP as I share the same passion about training development and helping people complete their professional qualifications. I’m looking forward to working on a wide range of projects with a vast network of clients.”

SCP warmly welcomes Matthew Taylor to the Leeds Design team and we look forward to seeing all that he has to offer. If you’re interested in a career with SCP or would like to find out more about our services, please get in touch.
