SCP is pleased to see planning permission granted subject to conditions for the redevelopment of the existing site to a mixed-use development at Ferensway, Hull. The proposed site is due to provide 249 residential units over 14 storeys including ancillary commercial space on the ground floor.
SCP were appointed by Feather Foot Holdings Ltd to produce a transport statement and travel plan to support the full application for the demolition and redevelopment of the entire perimeter block, comprising Shirethorn House and adjacent land to the east of Ferensway.
Our transport planning team in Manchester were able to draw a conclusion that there are no highway, traffic, or transport reasons to withhold planning permission. The transport statement demonstrates adequate vehicular access and utilised swept path analysis and visibility splays to evidence movements in and around the site can be accommodated.
The site is located in a highly accessible city-centre location with potential for use of sustainable transport modes, and a large range of amenities within close proximity. SCP prepared a travel plan setting out a range of measures to encourage sustainable travel.
