SCP got the opportunity to exhibit at Wakefield college’s Give Construction a Try event yesterday.
This event gives young individuals the opportunity to learn more about the construction industry, opening their minds to the different avenues towards a career in construction.
Our team had a great time presenting how SCP access the viability of a design and if it can accommodate the required vehicles. SCP do this through Swept path analysis.
Rob O’Brien who was at the exhibition yesterday said “We had a great time at the event yesterday. It was encouraging to see the pupils being given the opportunity to be exposed to potential future careers in a variety of construction sectors. It is so important for pupils to proactively consider the variety of career paths they might want to go down in the future and let that help them in deciding their next steps in education and development. I particularly enjoyed observing Mohamed (assistant engineer) and Coby (apprentice civil engineer) present and interact with the different groups and promote civil engineering in an engaging and positive manner.”
We’re proud of our industry and proud to have had the opportunity to inspire the next generation and potential future civil engineers.
