SCP welcome new Apprentice Engineer to Manchester Infrastructure Design Team

We are delighted welcome Jack Cavanagh, an Apprentice Civil Engineer, to our Manchester Infrastructure Design team.

SCP are committed to growth and training, not only of our teams but also of individuals. We’re pleased to take on another apprentice and support Jack in his development as a civil engineer.

Jack is due to start his first year at Bolton University studying Civil Engineering in September. Between now and then our team plan to introduce Jack into the industry and give him vital experience in order to excel in his studies going forward.

Jack is a natural problem solver and has said “I like a challenge and I look forward to developing myself and my skills and I feel like SCP is the best environment for me to do this, with the excellent help from others around me I think I will make good progress towards my degree, and who knows maybe a masters!”

John Browne, Jack’s regional leader said “Jack is a positive young professional with an inquisitive mind – his enthusiasm for a career that is both satisfying and rewarding stands him in good stead. He impressed early on in the application process by coming prepared; doing his homework on a potential career in highways and civil engineering. As a proud Salford lad, he also represents our continued commitment to investing in the next generations of young professionals in the North West region. A high expectation has been set by our previous apprentices who have gone on to great success, but Jack has the potential to follow in their footsteps – we are keen to harness his energy!”

We look forward to working with Jack and supporting him throughout the beginnings of his career as a civil engineer.
