SCP working to help deliver the largest offshore wind farms in the world

SCP are proud, to support the Sofia offshore Windfarm project which is currently under construction. We are delivering transport planning support to satisfy planning obligations and help the works to minimise their impact on local people and be safe for road users.

SCP were appointed in 2019 and over the last 2 years the transport planning team in Leeds have been working alongside RWE in preparing the traffic management and transport planning work required for the project’s onshore construction works in Teeside.

As part of our support the team have prepared various reports and advice regarding traffic, transport and accesses including abnormal vehicle movements for the onshore converter station and cabling, supported production of environmental report by drafting the traffic chapter, and helping to discharge the development consent order requirements.

David Young, Director at SCP and Project Manager of the Sofia project said “As an SME it is a privilege to be given the opportunity to support a blue chip client deliver work that allows us to use our transport planning and highway skills on a project that contributes to improving the environment we live in.”
